The ski resort "Chimbulak" is located in the picturesque gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau at an altitude of 2260 m above sea level, 25 km from the center of Almaty. Snow cover is from November to May.
The ski slopes are serviced by two twin-chair, single-chair and rope tows, as well as a free towing lift.
