The Chimbulak ski resort is known not only in Kazakhstan, many tourists come to the slopes of the Trans-Ili Alatau from the immense expanses of the CIS. The ski resort "Chimbulak" is located in the picturesque gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau at an altitude of 2260 m above sea level, 25 km from the center of Almaty. The average air temperature in summer is + 20 ° C, in winter - 7 ° C. The average thickness of snow cover is up to 150 cm, the number of sunny days per year is up to 90%. Snow cover is from November to May.

The ski slopes are serviced by two twin-chair, single-chair and rope tows, as well as a free towing lift.

Since 2003, a 4-seater road has been commissioned, opening a new region for fans of extreme skiing. The lifts will lift you from a height of 2260 m, above sea level to Talgar Pass (3163 m), a height difference of 903 m.
